....now that's fishin'!! butchie, you really lived up to all the hype, and THEN SOME! what a fantastic two days we had on the water with you. my buddy chris and i have been fishing for years up north, and have never experienced the hard fighting action in shallow waters like your snook and reds! no bluefish, striped bass or bonito can even compare to the type of fight and skill it takes to wheel these fish out of the mangroves and away from the oyster bars before they cut you off. and we can only hope that our rebuilding weakfish population will be as healthy as the huge sea trout that you continually put us on. it was total excitement! we were into non-stop action even when the other boats around us didn't have a bend in their rods. it took us a while before we got the hang of it, but talk about being worth the wait!
but what i was most proud of and pleased with, was how you really took the time and helped my wife, colleen, and taught her the "art" of fishing. she had a blast! if you would have told me she would have a "bar-hoppr-hat-trick" (a snook, redfish, and sea trout) by 11am, i would have never believed you....but she did!
thanks again for being not only a great captain, but also great company!
keep in touch, and we'll see you again soon.
